Triangle Kimbap/Gimbap is the South Korean equivalent made using a mold to shape fillings and rice into a triangle which is then wrapped in kim (the Korean word for seaweed). The Korean version is based on Japanese Onigiri which was introduced to South Korea in the 1990s.
